There is value in preserving this history as well as the story of Fr. Gordon’s journey to Orthodox Christianity. Fr. Gordon Walker was “old school” when it came to being a dedicated, self-sacrificing and loving Pastor, and his story will inspire current pastors, missionaries and young people who are considering entering the Ministry. We sincerely hope that you are blessed, encouraged and motivated by his story.

Fr. Gordon’s Memoir has finally been published and titled “Led By His Love”! You can get your copy at Ancient Faith Store. The writings include his early ministry, the history of Grace Ministries, his historic journey to Orthodox Christianity, and the many Churches he helped to establish over the past forty years.

Much of Fr. Gordon’s history is mirrored in the history of Christianity in the U.S. since the 1950’s and the search for truth in which so many of his contemporaries and subsequent generations of Christians have been engaged.

This photo commemorates the historic day when the parishes of the Evangelical Orthodox Church were brought into the Antiochian Orthodox by the hand of Metropolitan PHILIP.

For a couple of decades prior to this day these men grew a body of dedicated Christ believers. These men were diligent in working with and educating these faithful people who followed them into the Orthodox Church. Over the years they compiled many documents from the historic fathers of the Church and used them in our education. By the time Metropolitan PHILIP chrismated us in 1987 we already had quite a bit of understanding, thanks to these men.

Fr. Gordon’s brother, Dr. Phillip Walker, was extremely instrumental in completing Fr. Gordon’s memoir. He has been an avid follower of his brother’s journey to Orthodoxy over the years. Dr. Walker has also compiled the vast majority of the “Institute of Biblical Theology” (IBT) materials that was used in educating the Evangelical Orthodox Church parishioners as they grew in their love for the Orthodox faith. These materials prepared them as they embraced their historic Chrismation into the Antiochian Orthodox Church. These materials are offered to you here. We hope they are spiritual beneficial to you.
